"The Forest Path" -Original Oil Painting

This one was a really good challenge for me! I completed it over multiple painting sessions that occured over the past few months. The fact that I started and stopped so many times, but still finished this painting is a huge success for me. Normally I move on if it takes this long....or it literally goes years before I come back to it, if I do. I'm proud of myself for pushing myself through the inconsistent painting times. 

Another thing I love about this painting is the painting technique that I used. It has a lot of layers and a lot of little brush strokes that had to dry before adding more on (the main reason why this one took so long to complete). I think it really helps with the affect of spotted light coming through the trees. 

I am sad to see this one go because I had a lot of goodoments during the painting process, but I'm so thankful that it will get to be enjoyed by others!
